Magazine App Re-imagined

Welcome to the future of the magazine app: Apazine version 5

The latest generation magazine app from Apazine is the biggest leap forward in our history. We’ve reimagined the magazine app having listened to our customers, readers and publishers, and we’ve built what we believe is the best magazine app in the world. We’ve also kept to our hallmark pricing structure as low as ever, with zero set up fees. With so many unique features and a great new user interface, magazines on the Apazine app platform have just become the best you can get.

The new app home screen is a completely new design, with the latest issue being featured at the top in a larger format. We’ve added top bar and a menu button where users will now access sign in, restore purchases and app help functions. The pull-screen-to-refresh replaces the old refresh button and we’ve improved our app to server connection speed to be lightening fast.

The new Newsfeed button enables publishers to stream any HTML directly to the app, and we’ve added the ability to not only add enriched PDF content, but also add content as HTML streams and video, that sit alongside the PDF thumbnails on the home screen. This enables publishers to add fresh, phone friendly, content to the home screen every day without creating a PDF. HTML content pages swipe like a magazine, and scroll vertically like web pages. Publishers who can create web pages can now create app pages using HTML.

The home screen has another brand new button: Search Back Issues. This enables users to enter a keyword and find a match in any back issue of the magazine, whether it is downloaded or not. This is a game changer as it offers a much enhanced user experience and enables the publisher to sell ‘Netflix’ style subscription access to all content – which will give a huge boost to subscription sales.

When adding content, publishers can categorise content, and create custom categories such as special editions, brochures, reports, and so on. This enables users to filter the content that displays. Users can also select the ‘My Library’ category to only view editons they have previously downloaded – perfect for offline viewing.

As well as re-imagining the tablet app, the Apazine iPhone and Android phone app has also been reinvented. With a more modern user interface and greatly enhanced functionality, the phone experience is second to none. Now the app supports non PDF content as well as PDF, publishers can offer phone users a device responsive experience, and can easily add fresh content on a more regular basis.

The new side menus offer an enhanced user experience, with easy access to sign in, restore purchases and help options.
